I was going to leave it alone. After all, that had to have been a humiliating experience for the guy. But listening to talking heads praise that ludicrous speech pushed me over the edge. Someone actually said, “It came from the heart.” It did? Was it C3PO’s heart? I thought it seemed like an automated response from Microsoft’s new “Cheater’s Confession” program.

Kotaku reports: According to the Writers Guild of America, five games from 2009 are worthy of nominations for the organization’s Videogame Writing Award honors. Some have already walked away with multiple game of the year nods, others have certainly not.
The WGA nominations are: Assassin’s Creed II, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, Wet, and X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
The winner will be announced at the Writers Guild Awards on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at ceremonies in Los Angeles and New York.
I’d like to see people actually get angry about the quality of the material that they are having shoved down their throats. It can’t be good for us. And I would like to see people responding to that by basically following the old maxim that if you want a job done right you do it yourself.
